For the past two years we have worked hard to make Atlantic Beach a better place to live, work and raise our families. I am proud of what our community has accomplished. We have paved many roads and made them safer, built a new splash park for our children and expanded our recycling program.
Now we find that the fight is with those that want to close our beloved Atlantic Beach Elementary School. My promise to you is to continue to work with our representative to the Duval County School Board and continue to attend and make your voice heard at every School Board meeting until this misguided plan has been abandoned.
Yes, there is still work to be done and I hope that I can count on your vote to finish the job.

- 35 streets have been repaved or approved for repaving in the past two years
- Traffic calming is being installed on main street
- Creation of the Safety, Traffic and Parking Committee to address long neglected problems
- More recreation opportunities for all
- Four new pickleball courts at Donner Park
- Built and opened the new splash pad at Donner Park
- Passed legislation to expand and improve our Lifeguard Station to provide better safety for those who enjoy our beach
- Because it is your money
- Renegotiated flawed solid waste and recycling contract with contracted waste hauler to lower fuel cost passed along to the city and increase the number of homes served for recycling
- Making our city even better
- Led the charge to purchase three acres on Dara Drive for stormwater mitigation
- Led AB City Commission in purchasing property for future Marsh Oaks Community Center
Keep our Streets Safe
- We must be laser focused on public safety and hire at least seven new police officers by finding new ways to attract and retain these needed public servants.
- Make sure that our streets are walkable and fully accessible to two wheeled vehicles.
- Full enforcement of all traffic and parking regulations.
Protect and enhance our quality of life
- Full review of storm water policies and the impact that they have on our community.
- Full inventory of the Atlantic Beach tree canopy.
- Maintain, repair, and enhance city sidewalks.
Prudent use of your tax dollars
- Maintain or lower milage rate which determines your property tax.
- Review General Fund surplus as first option for new projects in lieu of tax increase.
- Assess paving needs of all Atlantic Beach owned streets and develop a comprehensive plan to pave all as needed.
